What follows are reports of cardiac catheterization procedures performed in New York State in 2002. Cardiac catheterization involves the insertion of a thin catheter into a major vessel or heart chamber in order to evaluate the heart's function and structure. The report aggregates all of the individual records that contain the ICD-9 Codes 37.22 and 37.23 in any procedure field. The total number of reported procedures is 122,485.
