What follows are reports of cataract procedures performed in New York State in 2002. Cataract surgery is usually done as an ambulatory procedure. It involves the removal of the affected lens after which a new artifical lens is implanted.The report aggregates all of the individual records that contain the ICD-9 Codes 13.11, 13.19, 13.2, 13.3, 13.41, 13.42, 13.43, 13.51, 13.59, 13.64, 13.65, 13.66 and 13.69 in any procedure field. The total number of reported procedures is 121,641.
